New Exhibits About Human Origins
The study of DNA has revolutionized the way that people think of themselves and their heritage. The Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History is featuring two exhibits until October that focus on how we know about our ancestors.
One is Lucy, The Story of Human Origins, in which the story of the oldest human fossil was found, and what it tells us about the human past. Visitors to the museum can also participate in the Genographic project, in which participants can provide DNA that can then be used to trace their ancestor's place of origin, and migration path across the globe.
