New Bicycle Loops, Repair Stations Make Debut In Pontiac
PONTIAC (AP) - New bicycle loops, repair stations and signs are part of an effort to make the Pontiac area more accessible to bicyclists.
Improvements recently were made in downtown Pontiac to help riders get to the library, downtown businesses and city parks from the Clinton River Trail.
The Friends of the Clinton River Trail and the "Healthy Pontiac, We Can! Coalition" are hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony Wednesday at the Pontiac Public Library. Cyclists from the Pontiac Light Riders are expected to showcase the new offerings.
Oakland County Executive L. Brooks Patterson and the office of Pontiac Mayor Deirdre Waterman are among those involved the effort.
