Neighboring Court Battle Continues For Almost Decade
MACOMB COUNTY (WWJ) - Owners of a nine-thousand square foot mansion in Macomb County that was ordered to be partially torn down were granted a short extension in court.
A couple have been fighting to keep their house "as is" for 9 years. Their neighbors took them to court because they built the mammoth home 20 feet too close to the property line.
The new court date is next Tuesday.
The judge for this hearing does not have the power to overturn the appeals court decision about tearing the house down - only schedule the dates for when the couple has to comply to the order.
