ROYAL OAK (WWJ) -- The Royal Oak-based National Adopt-A-Watt Program, which allows business and community groups to sponsor energy efficiency technology for cash-strapped local government, announced a new client, the Temecula Valley Unified School District in California.
Under the program, Adopt-A-Watt will retrofit about 100 parking lot lights on district campuses with new, high energy-efficient induction fluorescent lighting systems. According to the TVUSD announcement, the lights will reduce electricity consumption by 60 percent.
