Mysterious Green Light Seen In Skies Over Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) Was it a shooting star? A meteor? The Northern Lights? The Twilight Zone?
At this point, no one knows what that strange bright green light was shooting across the skies and quite visible in Macomb and Oakland Counties last night.
So, we checked with Accu-weather meteorologist Carl Babinski for some kind of explanation.
"The thing we can probably rule out at this point is the Northern Lights because, you would know about it. You'd be able to go to a website and learn more about the spike in activity, and we have not found any evidence that the Aurora Borealis has been overly active."
Several area police departments got calls from people that claimed they saw something very weird, around nine o'clock Wednesday night.
