Mt. Clemens Man To Be Sentenced For 6th Drunk Driving Offense
MACOMB COUNTY (WWJ) - A Mount Clemens man will be sentenced Tuesday on drunk driving for the sixth time.
Macomb County prosecutor Eric Smith is asking a judge to give 44-year-old Brian Charbeneau the maximum sentence -- roughly five years in prison.
"When you are talking about six offenses, he's been given every break possible, the only thing left to do to protect society is to put him behind bars," said Smith.
In November, police found Charbeneau passed out in the driver's seat of his still-running vehicle outside a convenience store near Groesbeck Highway and Utica Road.
Charbeneau's attorney isn't commenting.
