MSU Coach Back In Hospital
Michigan State coach Mark Dantonio is back in the hospital because of a blood clot in his leg and will miss the 24th-ranked Spartans' game against No. 11 Wisconsin on Saturday.
The school announced hours before kickoff that Dantonio was admitted to Sparrow Hospital on Thursday after a routine post-operative examination revealed the clot. Dantonio had a mild heart attack Sept. 19 that caused him to miss last weekend's game against Northern Colorado. He was planning to coach against Wisconsin from a box above the field.
Michigan State athletic director Mark Hollis says Dantonio's prognosis is ``excellent.'' Cardiologist Chris D'Haem says blood clots are not uncommon following some cardiac procedures.
