Motorcyclist Dies After Running Off I-94 Exit Ramp
HARRISON TWP. (WWJ) - A 62-year-old St. Clair County man is dead following a motorcycle crash on I-94.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office said the accident happened around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday on eastbound I-94 near North River Road in Harrison Township.
According to police, Steven Bowden of China Township died after his motorcycle ran off a freeway exit ramp and struck a directional arrow sign. The whole incident was witnessed by a friend traveling with Bowden on another motorcycle.
Bowden, who was not wearing a helmet, was quickly transported to McLaren Hospital in Mt Clemens where he was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
