More Single Family Houses To Be Built On Bob-Lo Island
ONTARIO (WWJ) - A new attraction is coming to Bois Blanc (BOB-LO) Island in Ontario; about 250 waterfront homes. The houses and condos are going up on the perimeter of the island next year.
Cindy Prince with Amico Properties says interest in island living has been picking up in recent years.
"We are getting many more year-round residents living there, so we have about 120 homes on the island that are currently occupied," said Prince. "I would say its population in the summer months is probably 200 or so people and then in the winter there are probably 50-60 people who live there (year round)."
Prince says people are already reserving some of the lots. She says their research has shown that would-be residents prefer single homes over the high-rise apartments currently there.
