Montreal Canadiens Twitter Celebration For 1M Followers Ends Up Including Racial Slurs And Mention Of Isis

The Montreal Canadiens could have learned a thing or two from the New England Patriots Tuesday night.
In 2014, the Patriots reached 1 million followers on their Twitter account and held a promotion that thanked the fans for their follow and gave them a custom digital jersey with their twitter handle attached.
That didn't go well and the Patriots had to issue an apology.
The Canadiens did the same type of deal and it went equally as wrong.
One jersey read "death to" and a racial slur. PK Subban was once again called a racial slur in which the Canadiens tweeted out. "I love isis" was another one tweeted out through their account which then read "Welcome to the family!"

Montreal did send out an apology tweet following the debacle.
If Montreal wants to blame the filtering issues I understand that issue but maybe professional franchises should stop doing automated messages through their Twitter account.
