Mom Charged For Driving Drunk With 2 Kids
HARRISON TWP. (WWJ) - A 33-year-old Harrison Township mom is facing drunk driving charges and two counts of child endangerment for allegedly driving drunk with her small children in the vehicle.
Sheriff's deputies responded to an accident on South River Road Sunday morning and saw a Dodge Durango in a ditch. Deputies said the driver, Wendy Trongo, smelled of intoxicants and had slurred speech.
According to deputies, Trongo blew a .33 in a breathalyzer test.
Her kids, ages one and three, were in the back seat. No one was injured. The children were turned over to their father.
Trongo posted $300 cash bond and has been ordered to appear in court within 10 days.
