Missing West Michigan Kids Found Safe
GRAND RAPIDS (WWJ/AP) -Two children who police believed were abducted by their father have been safely returned home.
East Grand Rapids Public Safety Chief Mark Herald told The Associated Press the father of 1-year-old Kamdyn Kairis Lee and 3-year-old Vernon LeeTadd Williams dropped them off at their mother's home about 9 a.m. Tuesday.
The children were unharmed.
Authorities, earlier in the day issued, an Amber Alert for the children. They were last seen Monday night in Wyoming, Michigan, near Grand Rapids, where they were allegedly abducted by 28-year-old Vernon Lee Williams.
Herald said officers still are investigating the circumstances behind why the children were taken.
No arrests have been made and there is no word yet about possible charges.
