Missing Elderly Man Dropped Off At Detroit VA Hospital But Never Checked In
DETROIT (WWJ) - Police are asking for the public's help in locating a 84-year-old man who went missing in Midtown Detroit.
Police say William Jacobs was last seen around 9:30 a.m. Monday at the John D Dingell VA Medical Center in the 4600 block of John R., just south of Warren Avenue.
According to police, Jacobs was taken to the veteran's hospital and dropped off, but he never checked in. Relatives say Jacobs is in good physical condition, but has early signs of dementia.
Jacobs is described as a black male with a medium complexion, 5'8" to 5'9" tall and 150 to 170 lbs. with a salt-and-pepper colored mustache and beard. He was last seen wearing a navy blue winter coat and black leather boots.
