Mike Valenti: The Big Joke
If you listen to the show then you know the disdain I have for Big Ten commish Jim Delany.
Yesterday was indeed his finest hour.
The "unveiling" of the big Ten logo and trophy series was in a word…hilarious. The logo looks like Terry designed it on a chalkboard. The trophies have names that sound more like a disease than an award. Oh and the divisions…ah the divisions…Leaders and Legends? Seriously?
In the end it all came across as forced, contrived, and just trying too hard to muster tradition out of a bold new decision.
In other words, typical Delany.
Cannot wait to see MSU collect that Stagg-Paterno trophy or the Woodson and Peters award.
