After a Triple Crown season in 2012, Detroit Tigers super slugger Miguel Cabrera received consideration for a spot on the cover of video game MLB The Show 13.
Fans voted Andrew McCutchen onto the front of the game instead, but Cabrera talked about his road to "The Show" for the promotion of the game. He talked about deciding to pursue pro ball, his first season - and World Series win - with the Miami (then Florida) Marlins, his move to Detroit and his Triple Crown season.
Since that historic year, Cabrera has not let up. He is batting .366 with 37 home runs and 111 RBIs. He leads the majors in average and RBIs and trails only the Baltimore Orioles' Chris Davis in home runs, of which Davis has 43.
