Miguel Cabrera Hit By Pitch, Jim Leyland Furious As Tigers lose second straight
"Next question."
That was Tigers manager Jim Leyland's reply when asked to comment about the events of the eighth inning in the Tigers' 9-5 loss to the Yankees on Wednesday night.
Not once, not twice, but three times.
Other than saying he disagreed with, but respected, umpire Eric Cooper's opinion Yankees pitcher Chad Gaudin didn't intentionally hit Miguel Cabrera with a pitch, Leyland wouldn't comment on the dispute that resulted in his ejection after the top of the eighth.
Cooper had nothing to say, either, other than, "It will be in my report."
