Michigan State Is One Of Fox Sports Underrated Teams In 2016

Michigan State is already being counted out in the race for the Big Ten this season.
Fox Sports on the other hand, thinks that the 2016 Spartans could be one of the most underrated teams in college football.
Yes, the Spartans lost their starting quarterback in Connor Cook and stud pass rusher Shilique Calhoun, but Michigan State is a perennial powerhouse that always seems to wind up near the top. Mark Dantonio has worked wonders with this program, and the talent is still there despite several losses from last year's team. Tyler O'Connor is a fifth-year senior who should see a fairly smooth transition to a starting role with LJ Scott there to hand the ball off to.
Stewart Mandel of Fox Sports just released his top 25 for the college football season had the Spartans ranked 15. Mandel does have the Michigan Wolverines ranked fifth.
DT Malik McDowell is a future first-rounder, and Dantonio has talked up DE Demetrius Cooper. The secondary should be better.
Other teams on the underrated list are Nebraska, Washington, Iowa and Auburn.
Where do you expect the Spartans to finish this season? Can they compete to win the Big Ten?
