Michigan Soldier Killed In Iraq
DETROIT (WWJ) - The Pentagon says a 21-year-old soldier from suburban Detroit has been killed in an insurgent attack in Iraq.
Army Pfc. Robert Friese of Macomb County's Chesterfield Township died Friday from injuries he sustained when insurgents attacked his unit with a rocket-propelled grenade.
Friese was part of the 1st Squadron, 3rd Armored Cavalry Regiment, based at Fort Hood, Texas.
