The Petoskey News-Review reports that Kasandra Knapp of Alanson was on a beginner-rated slope Sunday afternoon at Boyne Highlands Resort near Harbor Springs when she fell. The newspaper says she was treated at the scene and taken to a hospital in Petoskey, where she died.
Knapp was a senior at Inland Lakes High School in Indian River.
