Michigan Gas Prices Falling... Slowly
DETROIT (WWJ) - Michigan gas prices are down 1 cent per gallon over the past week to a statewide average of $4.14.
That's according AAA Michigan, who said it's the first weekly decline in 12 weeks.
According to GasBuddy.com, you'll find the cheapest gas in the state in Lambertville (off of US-23 near the Ohio border) at the Kroger in Secor Road and Sterns. It's a steal at $3.85 per-gallon.
In Metro Detroit, the best reported price is $3.89, at several service stations -- in Madison Heights, Sterling Heights, Waterford, Warren and several other suburbs. Find the location closest to you at this link.
Last week, the average price of gas reached $4.21 per-gallon -- the highest ever reported in Michigan, before rising even higher to set a new record of $4.22. This week, the statewide average remains about $1.22 per gallon higher than last year at this time.
