Michigan Falls To Wisconsin 65-62 in OT
MADISON, Wisconsin (97.1 THE TICKET/AP) - A clutch 3-pointer by each team put the game into OT with the Wisconsin Badgers getting the final say beating the Michigan Wolverines 65-62 on Saturday.
Tim Hardaway, Jr hit a clutch 3-pointer with seconds left in the game to give the Michigan Wolverines a 60-57 lead with under 3 seconds left and Ben Burst hit a shot from inside the mid-court to send the Wisconsin Badgers into overtime.
Trey Burke had a game high 19 points, with Hardaway adding 18 for Michigan (21-3, 8-3)
Brust scored 14 points for the Badgers (17-7, 8-3 Big Ten), while Jared Berggren added 13.
Hardaway hit a contested 3-pointer to put the Wolverines up 65-62 with less than 3 seconds left in regulation. Brust collected the inbounds pass near halfcourt, took one dribble and hit a runner that touched nothing but net to tie the game.
He hit the winning 3-pointer with less than 40 seconds left.
Burke missed a 3 on the other end in the closing seconds, and the Wisconsin fans stormed the court after the buzzer.
