Michigan Falls To Arkansas 66-64
ARKANSAS (WWJ) - The Michigan Wolverines stage a second half comeback but fall short and lose to the Arkansas Razorbacks 66-64 on Saturday.
Michigan (15-5) had the last shot opportunity with 7.6 seconds left in the game as Trey Burke put up a 3-pointer that hit the rim but didn't fall in - giving the Razorbacks (14-5) the win.
"That would have been something else - but if it helps us win another .. Big Ten game then it's all worth it," said Michigan head coach John Beilein of Burke's last second shot for the win.
"We let them get ahead by too much," said Beilein. "We got off to a tough start ... (but) really the last 30 minutes we controlled the game."
Michigan was down 20 points at one point in the game - down by 13 points at the half and slowly made their way back to make it a two-point game.
Arkansas remains unbeaten at home this season now 14-0 in Bud Walton Arena.
Zack Novak had a team high 17 points and 9 rebounds, Jordan Morgan had 16 points, freshman Trey Burke with 13.
