The University of Michigan Wolverines drew a No. 8 seed in the West Region of the tournament and will face No. 9 seed Tennessee in Charlotte, N.C., on Friday. Michigan is headed back to the NCAA tournament for the second time in four seasons under coach John Beilein.

The Michigan-Tennessee winner will likely meet top-seeded Duke in the second round.

Michigan State was named a No. 10 seed and will play No. 7 UCLA in a Southeast Region game on Thursday in Tampa, Fla. If the Spartans beat UCLA, second-seeded Florida will likely be their second-round opponent.

Oakland University is back in the NCAA tournament, this time as a No. 13 seed against fourth-seeded Texas. The Golden Grizzlies (25-9) and Longhorns (27-7) will play Friday in Tulsa, Okla., in the West regional.

The Golden Grizzlies put together an impressive resume this season, beating Tennessee and nearly knocking off Michigan State. They won the regular-season Summit League title with a 17-1 record, then won the postseason tournament.
