Michigan 40, Ohio State 34
ANN ARBOR (WWJ) - The game came down to the last play and No. 17 Michigan ends up on top as the Wolverines beat the Ohio State Buckeyes 40-34 on Saturday.
As heard on WWJ Newsradio 950 - the Wolverines (10-2, 6-2) hang on to win by a thread as Ohio State (6-6, 3-5) ends their bid to win with Braxton Miller throwing an interception on the last play of the game into the hands of Deviser Posey (an Ohio native) - ending Ohio's last chance to score and to win.
Five touchdown passes for Denard Robinson completing 14 of 17 passes for 167 yards to lead the Wolverines to victory.
In a match-up that head coach Brady Hoke stated to his team was a top priority this season - Michigan matched play throughout - with a one point difference in favor of the Buckeyes at the half.
Michigan has lived with the legecy of being beaten by Ohio State the last seven outings (although last year's Ohio State victory was vacated).
"We never brought up those last seven years ... we just went out there and played 60 minutes as a Michigan team," said Hoke postgame on WWJ. "It's an important game and a great rivalry."
Michigan had two apparent TD's called back after video review and penalties late in the game.
