Mich. High Schooler Dies During Trip To Germany
MANCHESTER (WWJ/AP) - The district says a Manchester High School student has died during a school trip to Germany.
District official Kevin Mowrer says the student was participating in one of the school's foreign language trips when he died in an apparent drowning. The boy's body was found Wednesday.
A report from WXYZ identified the student as Anthony Radze, who was to be a senior at Manchester High School. Mowrer would not confirm the student's identity.
Grief counselors are to be available Thursday and Friday at the high school, an hour's drive west of Detroit.
Mowrer said the school sends students involved in the Spanish and German programs on annual trips.
German officials are handling the investigation.
