Small Fire At MGM Grand Detroit
DETROIT (WWJ) - The MGM Grand Detroit was evacuated late Thursday afternoon after casino officials said there was a "smoke fire" at Bourbon Steak restaurant.
The scene is now clear and the casino and the restaurant are back open.
WWJ Newsradio 950 listener Ed, who did not want to give his last name, said there were a lot of people standing outside on Third Street.
"All of the employees and kitchen staff and a lot of guests ... hundreds, I'm not sure about how many but, you know, several hundred at least," he said.
Customers and staff were back inside before 6 p.m.
No injuries were reported.
