Memorial Day Events Honor Veterans Service To Country
DETROIT (WWJ) - Many are spending the holiday weekend with family and friends.
Southfield resident and Vietnam Army Veteran Ken Richardson wants us all to remember this Memorial Day that freedom is not free.
"I was with the 199th Light Infantry Brigade, we were in the central part of Vietnam - part of our security area was Saigon, we were very involved saving Saigon, during the Tet Offensive in 1968," said Richardson.
Richardson took part in a couple of local Memorial Day services this weekend.
