Medical Examiner Identifies Woman Found In Burning Car
DETROIT (WWJ) - The Wayne County Medical Examiner's office has identified the 81-year-old Southfield woman whose body was found in a burned car in Highland Park over the weekend.
Officials believe that there was some kind of a struggle or assault at Helen Gale's Winchester Street home before she was found burned beyond recognition early Saturday morning.
Her cause of death is "undetermined" because of the condition of her body.
Her family will address the media on Wednesday.
Southfield police have taken over the investigation. No arrests have been made.
