Medical Device Business Accelerator Launches in Michigan
Life science entrepreneurs now have a home in Michigan with the launch of a unique accelerator located in Farmington Hills.
Device and Diagnostic Accelerator LLC will provide complete support, from free rent to legal expertise, to help entrepreneurs develop, test and launch new medical devices.
Device and Diagnostic Accelerator will cater to startups, second stage companies, and those ready for the marketing stage. Client companies will be provided free rent, guidance in regulatory compliance, legal services and business consulting in exchange for equity.
"Client companies just need to bring their ideas, products, scientific acumen and the desire to build a successful business," said Kenneth Massey, managing director of Device and Diagnostic Accelerator. "We'll fill in the gaps."
Device and Diagnostic Accelerator has committed capital of $50 million for its client companies. It is expected to bring hundreds of well paying jobs to Michigan as well as introduce new medical devices to a global market.
