Mavs: NBA Title To Sweep, Offseason With Questions
DALLAS (AP) – The Dallas Mavericks didn't even get to enjoy their first NBA title for an entire year.
Eleven months later, Dirk Nowitzki & Co. are gone. They exited the first round of the playoffs without even winning a game. They were swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder, who overcame a 13-point deficit in the final 10 minutes of Game 4 on Saturday night.
The Mavs now head into a postseason with plenty of questions.
Jason Terry and Jason Kidd are among six free agents. Even coach Rick Carlisle's status is unclear, though general manager Donnie Nelson has said he expects him back.
The Mavs will have some cap flexibility in free agency, and know they need to find help for Nowitzki.
