Matthew Stafford, Jim Schwartz Lament Lions' Red-Zone Woes Vs. Denver

There are plausible explanations for the red-zone problems the Lions struggled with in their 25-20 exhibition victory over the Denver Broncos on Saturday. That doesn't mean Jim Schwartz likes them one bit.

The Lions gained 15 yards on 14 offensive plays inside the Broncos' 20 and settled for field goals on three of their first four drives.
"If we get sevens, that game's not close," Schwartz said. "By being held to threes, it kept Denver in the game and then we were fighting in the end. We need to be able to capitalize. We have enough firepower -- we need to score touchdowns."
