Matt Dery's Daily Update 8-10-11
After a marathon 14 inning game last night, the Tigers look to Rick Porcello to eat some innings and get the team a victory on the road in Cleveland. Porcello who has a 1.64 ERA in 5 career starts at Progressive Field. The Tribe are now 3 back and start newly acquired Ubaldo Jimenez.
Mean time, the White Sox have won a season high 5 in a row and are now just 4 games back of the Tigers. White Sox are in Baltimore to face the Orioles tonight.
Lions will have an afternoon practice at 3:15 which is open to the public in Allen Park. The team is a bit concerned about injuries to that offensive line. The Lions entertain the Bengals Friday night in the preseason opener. Cincinnati will start the rookie Andy Dalton at QB.
