The Tigers hope to salvage one in Boston tonight, great pitching matchup with Justin Verlander on the hill against the Sox Josh Beckett whose E.R.A is under 2 so far this season. Beckett is 3-0 in his last 3 starts against Detroit.
Day 2 of the NBA Draft Combine in Chicago. Joe Dumars and his Pistons staff interviewing perspective draftees for both their pick in round1 and picks in round 2. Among the players who said today that they will talk to Joe D in Chicago, Alec Burks, Jimmer Fredette and Norris Cole from Cleveland State.
Michigan's Darius Morris is at the NBA Draft Combine and told reporters he already has 7 workouts scheduled with teams including Indiana, New York and Cleveland. The likely top pick in the draft Kyrie Irving from Duke has decided not to participate in on-court drills at the combine.
Brad Mcrimmon is no longer employed by the Red Wings. The team issues a release saying that the assistant coach is moving on to pursue other career opportunities.
Lions wrapped up their week of player organized workouts today at Country Day High School. Louis Delmas says he is pushing for Dre Bly to be signed. If the lockout goes into June the players will gather again for another round of workouts they say.
