The Tigers head into Boston for the first of 2 with the Red Sox tonight. Terry Francona's team is now over 500 after winning their last 4. Tigers decide to skip Rick Porcello and keep Phil Coke right where he is pitching against the Sox tonight. Left-handed Coke is 0-3 and an E.R.A right around 6 since mid April, Sox counter with Clay Buchholz.
Armando Galarraga is looking for work, the Arizona Diamondbacks designated the ex Tiger for assignment today.
The Lions are in day 3 of their player-organized workouts at Country Day; Matthew Stafford did not attend the full workout this morning but did throw again.
