Matt Dery's Daily Update 4-22-11
An important series for the Tigers from a confidence stand point. Tonight Detroit opens a 3 game weekend set with the White Sox. Tigers are currently 9-10 and in 3rd place and 1 game ahead of Chicago in the division. Justin Verlander on the hill for the Tigers, Mark Buerhle who hasn't lost to Detroit since 2007 throws for the sox.
The Red Wings held a practice at the Joe today before taking the rest of the weekend off for the Easter holiday. Johan Franzen did not practice but Henrik Zetterberg did and told reporters he is ready for game 1 of round 2.
