Day 1 of the Big Ten Tournament and for Michigan State an opportunity to get off the NCAA Tournament bubble and basically start over. Spartans as the 7 seed are set to tip with number 10 Iowa just after 4:30pm in Indianapolis. MSU split the season series with the Hawkeyes, blowing them out at the Breslin and getting smoked at Iowa.
The latest on Jim Tressel, ESPN reports that Ohio State officials did consider suspending the head football coach from spring practice and summer camps before they decided to just have him sit the first 2 games. This is stated in a letter to the NCAA in regards to Tressel's breaking NCAA rules. Rich Rodriguez told a national radio show today that he does not think Tressel ever did any negative recruiting against Michigan while he was in Ann Arbor.
Tigers back at it tonight in Jupiter Florida to battle the Marlins. Justin Verlander will make his third spring start. Here it at 7pm on AM 1270.
NFL players have made it clear no way, no how will they agree to an 18 game season. The owners would not confirm reports that they have pulled that offer off the table. The two sides have until 5pm tomorrow to agree to a new collective bargaining agreement.
