Martha Reeves Stranded By Snowstorm
Motown star Martha Reeves and her two sisters are stranded in London where a snowstorm has paralyzed the city.
Reeves and her sisters -- who tour with her as the "Vandellas", have been performing in England and Scotland.
But when they arrived at Heathrow Airport on Sunday for a return trip to Detroit, the airport was closed.
Reeves says "it was panic" at the airport as passengers scrambled to make alternate plans.
For now, Reeves and her sisters are waiting out the snow at a hotel near London.
They hope to fly to Paris on Thursday and then home to Detroit where the singer says she has a gig scheduled at "Bert's in The Marketplace."
Reeves, who gained fame with Motown hits including "(Love Is Like a) Heat Wave" as the lead singer of Martha and the Vandellas, is also a former Detroit City Council member.
