Maroon 5 Entertains For Press Preview Event
DETROIT (WWJ) - A crowd of industry and media from around the country packed the Fillmore Tuesday night in downtown Detroit for a free show by hit band Maroon 5.
WWJ's Sandra McNeill says the ninety minute show got great reviews from fans at the Fillmore like Steven Tisdale who was in town from Los Angeles:
"I DJ I spin a lot of vinyl - a lot of Motown stuff so this is like a home that I never knew existed ... Motown is awesome," Tisdale said.
Linda Hyatt was still dancing after the show came to an end."It's a wonderful time."
Cars.com brought hit band Maroon Five in as part of the auto show preview week.
Before the show Cars.com announced its "Lifestyle" award winners: 2012 Honda Pilot for "Family Car of the Year, 2012 Ford Mustand Bss 302 for "Play Car of the Year, 2012 Ford F-150 for "Workd Truck of the Year" and the 2012 Vokswagen Passat TDI for " Eco-Friendly Car of the Year."
Cars.com editor-in-chief Patrick Olsen tells WWJ, "The competely redesigned Volkswagen Passat shook up the extrememly competitive family sedan category in 2012."
