Marcus Lattimore Would Like To Be Drafted By The Lions
NEW ORLEANS (97.1 THE TICKET) - The Ticket's Evan Jankens took a few minutes with Marcus Lattimore who recently declared himself eligible for the 2013 NFL Draft - spoiler alert - he'd love to be a Detroit Lion!
How's the knee? "It's feeling great ... started jogging, in a couple days I'll be ready to go. That's the goal."
How would you feel about the Lions drafting you? "I'd feel great, get to play with Matt Stafford, play with Calvin Johnson and they've got a good line ... I'd look forward to that."
Best reciever in the NFL? "Calvin Johnson, easy," said Lattimore.
Holding his right knee after a tackle in a game vs. Tennessee in October Marcus Lattimore went down hard. The running back for University of South Carolina - one of the most decorated prospects in S. Carolina high school history was named South Carolina's Mr. Football.
CBS Sports reported that Lattimore is believed to have suffered injuries similar to those suffered by Willis McGahee in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl (torn ACL, PCL, and MCL).
The injury was described as a dislocated right knee by USC football coach Steve Spurrier, noting that it was not an injury that would prevent Lattimore from returning to the game.
