Young Ypsilanti Woman Home Safe After Alleged Abduction, Ex-Boyfriend Being Sought
YPSILANTI (WWJ) - Farrah Cook, 25, of Ypsilanti, is home safe and sound after police said she was forced into a vehicle at I-94 and Huron against her will early Monday.
Police are reportedly trying to find her ex-boyfriend, 27-year-old Jeremy Abston of Ann Arbor, father of her three children, in connection with her six hour disappearance.
Family members said Cook was taken to an apartment and managed eventually to break away from Abston with the help of someone in the apartment. She got herself to a local police station, where she spent the afternoon being interviewed by police.
Abston allegedly fled in a dark blue or black Pontiac Grand Prix with a hub cap missing from one of the rear wheels and some rust.
Police are also looking for second man as well as a woman who might have assisted in the abduction.
Anyone with information about this case is asked to call contact Detective Sergeant Thomas Eberts at 734-482-9878 or Crime Stoppers at
1-800-SPEAKUP (773-2587).
If you see Abston, do not approach him and dial 911.
