Man Suspected Of Killing Woman Met On Facebook
EDENVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Authorities are releasing new details in a November murder of a woman in Midland County who met the suspect over Facebook.
Sheriff Jerry Nielsen said 30-year-old Steve Fabi appears to have acted alone. The sheriff believes Fabi fatally shot 45-year-old Leigh Swanson and then moved the body across the road and into woods in Edenville Township. The Saginaw-area woman was last seen by family on Nov. 17.
Fabi shot himself Nov. 27 as sheriff's deputies were walking up to his house. The sheriff says Fabi and Swanson met over Facebook, not an online dating service as previously reported.
