Man Shot To Death Outside Lansing Bus Station
LANSING (WWJ/AP) - Police say a shooting outside a Lansing bus station has left a 31-year-old man dead.
The Lansing State Journal reports the man was shot Tuesday afternoon outside the Capital Area Transportation Authority facility. The man died shortly after being shot in the neck, police said.
The Lansing man's name wasn't immediately released. Police say it's not clear what sparked the shooting. A suspect was being sought.
Police say they took another man into custody after he fired a gun at them while fleeing about an hour later. But they say he's likely not a suspect in the bus station shooting. Officers didn't return fire at the man before tackling him.
CATA officials said it was the first shooting at the facility since it opened in 1997.
