Man Shot, Killed At West Side Detroit Gas Station

DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police are looking for the person who shot and killed a man at a gas station on the city's northwest side.

The shooting happened sometime before midnight Thursday at the Sunoco gas station on McNichols Road, near Greenfield Road.

Police say the victim was found dead inside his car from an apparent gunshot wound.

Reports say the victim's car is a newer model Buick with a Mississippi license plate.

Investigators are reviewing security camera footage from the gas station and nearby business to see if the incident was captured on video.

No information on the suspect has been released. The victim's identity wasn't immediately released.

An investigation is ongoing.

Police are asking anyone who may have information on the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-SPEAK-UP.
