Man Robbed Of Wedding Ring While Walking Dog
FRANKLIN (WWJ) - Police say a man was held at gunpoint and robbed while walking his dog Monday night.
Police in the Village of Franklin say the man was walking his dog around 6:45 p.m. near 13 Mile and Inkster roads when he was approached by two suspects. The man allegedly told police that the suspects produced a silver revolver, held the gun to his head and ordered him to the ground, before stealing his watch, wedding ring and iPhone.
Investigators say the suspects then fled the area in a 1997 to 2000 white Mercury Mystique or similar, with a possible license plate of CST0707. A vehicle matching the description was reportedly seen cruising the area just prior to the robbery.
Police say the victim was probably chosen at random.
The first suspect, allegedly the gunman, is described as a black male in his 20s, tall, thin, with a shaved head. The second suspect, who remained in the vehicle, is described as a black male in his 20s, heavy-set, round face with slight beard growth and short black hair.
An investigation is ongoing.
