Man Leads Police On Chase With Baby On Board
DETROIT (WWJ) - A man is in custody after Detroit police say he led them on a chase, with a baby in the car.
Officials told WWJ Newsradio 950 the chase began at Greenfield and Joy, on the city's west side, when a witness reported the man trying to break into a car.
Police arrived and a car chase ensued. The suspect eventually abandoned his vehicle and was arrested on foot, a mile away.
Police said that's when a baby was found in the suspect's vehicle.
There was no immediate word on the relationship between the man and the child, who was not injured. The suspect's name has not been released.
