Man Kills Robber Who Held Him At Gunpoint
DETROIT (WWJ) - One man is dead and another in critical condition after Detroit Police say the tables turned on them when they tried to rob two men at gunpoint.
Police say the shooting took place around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday on Lumpkin Street on the city's east side.
Investigators say two white men, ages 19 and 20, met two black men, both age 19, to purchase merchandise from them. It's believed the men hooked-up through the popular service website, Craigslist.
Police say its alleged that one black male produced a weapon and demanded items from the white males. Supposedly, as the younger white male began to remove items from his pockets, the older white male produced his registered handgun and fired shots, striking both black males.
One of the men was fatally wounded, and the other was listed in critical condition.
