Man Crushed To Death In Macomb County Industrial Accident
SHELBY TWP. (WWJ) - Police are investigating after a 23-year-old man was killed in an industrial accident in Macomb County.
The incident happened around 6 a.m. Wednesday at Colonial Plastics Inc. on Filomena Drive, near 23 Mile and Schoenherr Road in Shelby Township.
According to police, the man was trying to clear an obstruction in a stamping press when the machine cycled to stamp a part, crushing him in the process. The man is from Washington Township, although his name was not immediately released.
Other circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown.
An investigation is ongoing.
