Man Killed In Icy Detroit Crash
DETROIT (WWJ) - Slick roads may have played a factor in a fatal accident Monday morning on Detroit's east side.
Police say a 41-year old man was driving a car that hit a utility pole on Charles Street near Mound Road, west of City Airport. Roads were icy when the accident occurred.
The man's name was not immediately released.
Motorists reported slushy, slippery roads across the area Monday morning, particularly in Macomb County and on the back roads of Oakland County. Forecasters said the roads were likely to thaw out by Tuesday, when temperatures will rise to near 50 degrees.
