Man Killed In Crash On Way Home From Work
LENNOX TWP. (WWJ) - A 56-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning when his car veered off the road and crashed in Macomb County.
The sheriff's department says the accident happened around 2:40 a.m. on 32 Mile Road, between Haven Ridge and Place roads, in Lennox Township.
Police say Charles Brett Alexander, a Marysville resident, had just left work at the Lake Orion GM plant when the crash happened. According to police, Alexander's vehicle left the roadway and struck a telephone pole. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators say the rain, icy roads and the dropping temperatures played a role in the crash, although it wasn't immediately clear what caused the accident.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor. No other injuries were reported.
An investigation is ongoing.
