Man Fighting Girlfriend Hits Child With Vehicle
MOUNT MORRIS TWP. (WWJ/AP) - Flint-area authorities said a man fighting with his girlfriend struck her 9-year-old brother with his car, critically injuring the boy.
It happened at around 7:30 a.m. outside a home on Cypress Drive near Coldwater Road in Genesee County's Mount Morris Township .
Mlive.com reported, according to Township police Chief Scott McKenna, the man fled from the scene and was tracked by investigators to a house in Flint where he was taken into custody.
McKenna said the man and his girlfriend were arguing, and the boy went out to the road to intervene.
The child remained hospitalized Wednesday afternoon in what was described as "extremely critical" condition.
No names have been released.
